Local airline Pacific Sun has started its services from Nadi Airport to Taunovo Bay Airport from this morning.
General Manager, Manoa Kamikamica said due to the increase in demand and passengers, their 19 seater planes have started dropping off and picking tourists from this privately owned airport.
Kamikamica said if demand for air services to this privately owned Taunovo Bay Airport increases further then larger planes will also start operating on this route.
Taunovo Bay Chief Executive, Mitch Hagerman said this is another important step in the development of Taunovo Bay.
He adds it is showing confidence and commitment to Taunovo Bay as a five star integrated resort destination by Pacific Sun.
Hagerman also said this new service means owners of the resort and guests with locals alike can enjoy a scenic flight from Nadi to Taunovo Bay in the same amount of time to Denarau.
The aircrafts will arrive at 7.15am daily and the return flight will depart at 4.45pm everyday to Taunovo Bay.
