Pacific Sun aircraft sent for maintenance
Air Pacific said in a statement that domestic air travelers will see a reduction in flights that are operated by Pacific Sun's two ATR 42 aircraft that regularly fly between Nadi, Suva and Labasa until mid-August.
It said for these routes, cancellations will affect one to two flights a day for each day of the week except Saturdays.
Air Pacific said travelers wishing to make use of Pacific Sun's direct Nadi to Labasa service should particularly note that during this time, there will not be any ATR service on the route.
Instead, a smaller Twin Otter aircraft will be used for this route.
For Tuesdays and Thursdays, the normal twice a day service between Suva and Labasa will be reduced to one, and the normal 3 flights a day during weekends will be reduced to 2 flights a day.
Pacific Sun may also use a Twin Otter aircraft on some of its Nadi-Suva service.
These changes are temporary and schedules will revert to normal once the ATR returns from undergoing heavy C checks at the Air Tahiti hangar in Papeete in mid August.
