Cook Islands Pacific Mini Games organizing committee has been criticized over its projected budget and told to get more staff.

Games board member and Pacific Games Council member, John Tierney's evaluation highlighted areas needing attention.

Cook Islands organizing committee chief David Lobb said one major concern was how much the games would really cost adding that another area would be the financial planning involved in hosting the meet.

Tierney's report is indicating the government's underwriting will cost more than original estimated, the report highlights the fact they do not have guarantees on facilities, and they need to have some more people involved.

Pacific Games is scheduled for next year in September.
