The Pacific Islanders faced the first upset in their International Tour after they went down to English 39-13 at Twickernham this morning.

Despite a valiant try by Seru Rabeni, which gave the Islanders a much needed boost in the first half, the English speed and strength proved too strong for the newly combined Pacific Islanders.

The Islanders who were looking for their first win ever on European soil will now use this match as a lesson for their combinations.

England will now be encouraged by their win when they face a different test against Australia next weekend, followed by South Africa and then New Zealand on the 29th.

Ireland gave a thrashing to Canada 55-0.
