Public Works Department is expected to complete its upgrade work along the King's Highway by next year.
Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said they are hopeful that there are not further hurdles as some of the roads had to be rehabilitated after the floods earlier this year.
Waqainabete added that the work done on the road so far has been satisfactory.
