The Suva Water Supply department will be carrying out connection works at Wainibuku reservoir which will cause disruptions to water supply in the Suva/Nausori corridor tonight.

Divisional Water Engineer Central, Samuela Tubui says the connection of the newly built additional tanks will increase capacity of the storage of water at the Wainibuku Reservoir site by 6 million litres. The current capacity of the existing reservoir is 9 million litres.

The water supply will be disrupted between 9pm to 4am tomorrow and majority of the consumers will have normal water supply by 6am tomorrow.

Areas that will be affected include Davuilevu, Waila, Koronivia, Naulu, Nakasi, Narere, Navosai, Makoi, Nadawa, Nadera, Nepani, Muanikoso and Kinoya.

People are requested to store water.
