A 6 member unit has been set up in the Ministry of Public Works primarily to investigate corruption related cases within the Ministry.
Ministry Spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete said the team has already come up with some cases which are now before the Minister.
Waqainabete also confirms the Officers in this special unit are from the disciplined forces and will not be swayed in their task to rid of corruption from within the Ministry.
Waqainabete added the cases brought before the Minister can either be transfered to FICAC or the Public service Commission for action.
