Public Works Department officials are on the ground checking the problem behind water disruptions in parts of Samabula and Namadi Heights this morning.

Spokesperson Maika Nagalu said they do not have information on the problem behind the water disruption adding they hope to find the problem and rectify it later today.

Nagalu added there is a burst main at the headworks at the Tamavua treatment plant and they are currently using a new route of water supply from the Waimanu pumping station to supply water to many areas in Suva.

He added they will be replacing the main pipe however he is not sure by when works will be completed.

Nagalu stressed no areas are affected at the moment.
