The Public Works Department is looking into the water cuts currently experienced by residents in Davuilevu Housing and Toorak Road after receiving complaints this morning.
When contacted by Fijivillage, Divisional Water Engineer Central/Eastern Sereicokocoko Yanuyanurua clarified that the cause of the disruptions is because of a bust in the main pipes leading to these areas.
However, he has confirmed that the engineers are currently working on the problem and residents in the above areas are expected to receive normal water supply by late this afternoon.
Yanuyanurua has also asked the public to call them directly of water disruptions rather than to the media.
