The Public Works Department agrees that road maintenance work in most parts of Fiji have been neglected over the recent past years.
When Fijivillage questioned why most of the roads are in bad condition, Department spokesperson Sainiana Waqainabete stressed normal procedures were not followed in the past years to repair roads on a consistent basis.
Waqainabete said they have adopted new plans which will see that upgrading of roads are consistent and current problems do not occur in the future.
