The Public Service Commission will be handing all its corruption related matters to the police to deal with.

PSC chairman Dr Mohammed Yunus said he has spoken to the Police Commissioner and they have decided that any public servant found accepting a bribe or any member of the public found giving a bribe will be dealt with by police from now on.

Yunus has urged people not to bribe civil servants to get their work done first, as this is what will spoil them and then the public will be the first ones to say that the government is corrupt.

Meanwhile, Yunus is also calling on people to report to the PSC if they see public servants misusing government vehicles.

He said they have been getting complaints from people and they have also disciplined those caught adding this will continue as the PSC intends to tighten up on all misuse or abuse.
