The Public Service sector will now become more cost efficient as the last phase for the installation of a monitoring system called the Financial Management Information System was today signed off.
Speaking at the signing this afternoon, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Finance, Peceli Vocea said the system which is already being used by some ministries since February 2005, will see more accountability being practiced.
Vocea also adds the system will also allow for easier and faster Audit report to be done.
