The Public Service Commission is expected to introduce new policies soon in order to bring Fiji's civil service in line with Singapore's civil service.

After returning from his visit to Singapore, Chairman Rishi Ram said Singapore has population of more than 4 million and yet their size of the civil service is much smaller than Fiji's, which has a population of close to 1 million.

According to Ram, Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama and the Interim Attorney General, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum also toured Singapore with him and met with Singaporian Civil Service authorities.
