The Public Service Commission has received written reports from the permanent secretaries on the progress they are making in the implementation of the pillars of the People's Charter.
Commission Chairman Josefa Serulagilagi said he revived the reports on Wednesday this week covering the six month period from January to June and they expect 2 reports from all the Permanent secretaries each year.
Serulagilagi said that permanent secretaries will have to work really hard as they will be evaluating and reviewing their performance on these basis as well.
Serulagilagi who officially opened the first meeting of the National People's Charter Advisory Council today said that the Council will directly report to the Prime Minister on the progress of the implementation of the Charter.
The Advisory Council has appointed three sub-committees in the areas of Economic, governance and social. Serulagilagi has been appointed the Chairman of the Council.
