The Public Service Commission is investigating a number of civil servants and decisions are expected to be made soon.

PSC Chairman, Josefa Serulagilagi said they have forwarded the files of those civil servants who are under investigations to the Solicitor General’s office and are awaiting a reply.

He said following that the PSC Disciplinary Tribunal will set a hearing date.

Meanwhile, the contracts of eleven civil servants have been terminated for misusing public funds.

The eleven who were holding junior posts were sent home by the Public Service Disciplinary Tribunal after it was established that their abuse resulted in the loss of government finances and resources.

Some cases have also been referred to Police and FICAC for further investigations.
