The Public Service Commission continues to crack down on civil servants for allegations of abuse of office.

Four senior officials from the Immigration Department, Commerce and Communication, Justice, Lands and Mineral Resources Ministries appeared before PSC Commissioners yesterday facing various charges of alleged abuse of office.

It has been confirmed that the allegations against the officials include that they made personal gains in return for special favors while in office.

Permanent Secretary for PSC, Taina Tagicakibau only confirmed that the civil servants concerned are currently being dealt with by the PSC and no details will be released until they have had a fair chance to make their defence.

Meanwhile, the PSC also confirms that former Permanent Secretary for Communication Amena Yauvoli will appear before the PSC Commissioner later this week to answer to allegations of in-subordination.
