The Public Service Commission has received Ratu Isoa Gavidi's resignation letter.

This has been confirmed by PSC Permanent Secretary Taina Tagicakibau who said a decision will be made on this next week.

Ratu Isoa Gavidi was the Foreign Affairs Permanent Secretary and was to have travelled to Papua New Guinea with the Interim Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum for the Pacific Islands Special Forum Meeting had it not been deferred to the 10th of February.

The duo were to go to PNG in Interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama's place, who had written to the Forum Chair and Niue Premier Toke Talagi stating his inability to attend because of the flood effects and therefore asking for a deferment.
