The Public Service Commission stands behind the recommendation in the Draft of the People's Charter where the NCBBF say the Civil Service is too large for a small nation.
PSC chairman, Rishi Ram said the recommendation was not new as they are currently carrying out the restructuring of the Public Service.
With regard to the removal of political interference, Ram said this should be done in order for the Commission to carry out its job properly.
