The Public Service Commission is expected to get to the bottom of the case on why there is a delay in solving 5 year old Shavneet Kumar's case who died after being in a coma for eight days at the CWM Hospital.
Chairman Rishi Ram said he had given health authorities time until this week to submit post mortem results of Shavneet to PSC, however, he is surprised to hear that the case is now being handled by police.
According to Ram, the health authorities have now told him to wait for results of the tissue samples which will be sent overseas for analysis.
Meanwhile, health authorities still have not given Shavneet's post mortem results to his parents.
Director CID Waisea Vakamocea is expected to comment later today.
Shavneet was taken to CWM Hospital after he fractured his arm. Doctors then told the parents that they would operate on his arm to straighten it in early October. Shavneet went into a coma straight after the operation and died eight days later.
