The Public Service Commission Chairman is expected to meet with Permanent Secretary for PSC Taina Tagicakibau this morning to seek answers on the procedures followed prior to the suspension of the Permanent Secretary for Defence Malakai Tadulala.
Rishi Ram told Fijivillage that he is personally looking into Tadulala's suspension to ascertain whether all proper channels were followed by Tagicakibau after which they will decide whether she should also be disciplined for her actions.
When approached by Fijivillage outside the PSC Office this morning, Permanent Secretary for Public Service Taina Tagicakibau said she will not comment on the matter.
Tadulala was suspended pending investigations against him after it was alleged that he refused to adhere to a PSC Directive to take disciplinary action against an Immigration Office.
Interim Minister for Defense and Immigration Ratu Epeli Ganilau said earlier that he wants answers why he was not informed of the suspension by the PSC.
