The Public Service Commission today fare-welled its Chairman, Rishi Ram who retired from his post after serving for nearly two years.

Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama congratulated Ram, saying that he had worked hand-in-hand with the Prime Minister’s office to see that major projects get implemented.

It is not known at this stage as to who will take up the PSC Chairman's position.

Meanwhile, while launching the Public Service for the 21st Century today at the Police Academy in Nasova, Commodore Bainimarama issued a challenge to all senior civil servants to improve their efficiency in work as there is a lot that has to be done.

He added that the services to the members of the public needs to be improved.
