The Public Service Commission will await the tribunal's ruling before making a decision on whether the 2% pay restoration next month for Civil Servants will be back dated.
PSC chairman Rishi Ram maintained that they could not afford a back pay and will make further decisions after carefully studying the ruling.
The Labour Ministry's Disputes Committee chairman Vimlesh Maharaj told Fijivillage yesterday that both parties have different views on the matter and he could not make a firm decision and has now referred the dispute to arbitration.
The PSC is expected to restore another 2% of Civil Servants' pay next month.
