The Public Service Commission is awaiting directives from the Interim Prime Minister and Minister for Public Service Commodore Frank Bainimarama on when the Job Evaluation exercise in the civil service will be implemented.

After the interim government announced that civil servants earning more than $20,000 will get a 3% and 4% pay increment for 2009 and 2010 respectively, PSC Chairman Dr. Mohammad Yunus said the Job evaluation has been put on hold for now.
