The Permanent Secretary for Health said the Ministry of Health is under no obligation to be providing jobs for the graduates of the TISI Sangam Nursing School.

Doctor Lepani Waqatakirewa while responding to the allegations by students of the school said at the moment they are processing the application of some of the graduates, but the issue of taking all of the graduates into the Ministry has never been promised to any of them.

Dr Lepani added the same process is done for all the graduates where they are taken in based on achievements.

Some of the graduating students had allegedly said the Ministry had gone back on their word of promising them of jobs after they graduate.
The individual stories of the first Gujrati's in Fiji and their descendants are all in the book "100 years of Gujrati's in Fiji" which was launched last night.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Ajay Amrit said while they are happy with the book launch, they are always ready to help people.

The Gujrati's have been a part and parcel of the business community since their arrival in Fiji from Gujrat in India.
