The 2010 Pacific Rugby Cup final between defending champion Air Pacific Fiji Warriors and Body Guard Fiji Barbarians will be used by the Flying Fijian selectors to again gauge the performance of the local based players.

After the announcement of the 40 squad member to prepare for the Wallabies test match next month and the Pacific Nation Cup, Fiji Rugby Union coaching director Samu Domoni Jnr said this PRC final is a opportunity for local players to show their worth and be included in the final team.

It is also historical moment in the PRC as it is the first time where a two teams from the same nation reaching the final and a special moment for the Fiji Barbarians where they will be appearing for the first time since 2006.

Players like Emosi Vucago, Waisale Vatuvoka, Jimilai Nakaidawa, Manasa Saulo, Vereniki Sauturaga, Alefoso Yalayalatabua, Manoa Tamaya and Nikola Matawalu are some of the local players who are vying for a spot in the Fiji 15's team.

The Fiji Warriors will take on the Fiji Barbarians at 3pm in the PRC final on Saturday at the TFL Stadium and you can catch a live commentary of the match on our sister station Viti FM.
