Former Fiji 7's coach Waisale Serevi's Papua New Guinea team is likely to be one of the two wild card entries in the Suva International 7's next month.

PNG was one of the teams that was named by the organisers earlier on but when the pool draws were announced last week they were replaced by the Canadian team.

Serevi who is in the country for New Year has met with the officials from Suva Rugby Union asking them to consider his side as one of the two wild cards to be picked.

If PNG will be named as one of the wild cards they will be either grouped with Fiji, Tonga and Waimanu in Pool A or in Pool C with Manawatu, Hong Kong and Suva.

The Suva International 7's will kick-off from the 21st to the 23rd of January.
