Prime Minister of Papua New Guinea, Sir Michael Somare while launching the book " Tuimacilai " a biography of the late Tui Nayau and Former President of Fiji, Ratu Sir Kamisese Mara often wondered if the political challenges in Fiji now would be emphasised if Tui Nayau was still active in the political arena.
Somare was emotional when he spoke about how the Tui Nayau led Fiji for almost 30 years as he was his mentor, whose counsel he had valued but have since missed.
He had similar sentiments with comments made by former politicians naming a few Apisai Tora and Siddiq Koya that Ratu Mara was a great leader.
Dignitaries and invited guest included former government ministers, High Commissioners and Ambassadors of Australian High Commission, PNG former politicians, businessmen, the Mara Family members and close friends were present during the launch.
