Talks are underway with the International Rugby Board to allow the Pacific Nation Cup to be held early next year to give enough time for Fiji, Tonga, Japan and Samoa to prepare well for the Rugby World Cup in New Zealand.

Fiji Rugby Union head coach Samu Domoni Jnr said that while they have plans for the players to get together in Fiji with a month left for the World Cup, he hopes they will have time to mold a good team.

CEO Keni Dakuidreketi added that they are looking at trying to shift the dates of the PNC to benefit teams preparing for the RWC in New Zealand.

He said the preparation of the World Cup will start with the Europe tour in November.
