A delegation of Chinese businessman and Europe are in the country.

A Delegation representative, Mr Lou said they have specialised in varieties of business as members of the group come from different parts of China and some even from Italy. He adds they engage in different businesses and in enterprises in real estate development in tourism, hotel building and so on.

Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama yesterday welcomed the delegation at the Shangri-la Fijian resort in Nadroga and encouraged them to invest into the manufacturing sector which his government believes will also bring in equally handsome returns.

He further said that this is why Fiji's economy is turning its focus to value adding of commodities and having them in the "ready to use" stage when exporting.

He told them that their visit depicted the huge interest of international business community on Fiji's potential.

He said it highlights the huge potential and wide range of opportunities that Fiji has in terms of investment, trade and strengthening bilateral relation with China.

Commodore Bainimarama encouraged the Chinese business delegation to make use of the attractive incentive given to those who invest in business in Fiji.
