The Tui Cakau Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu has given his endorsement to the chiefly Yavusa of “Ai Sokula” in Somosomo for a traditional ceremony is accorded to the Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama today.
Commodore Bainimarama is expected to open the new extension to the Police Station in Taveuni and this is his first time as Prime Minister to officially visit Taveuni.
Roko Tui Cakaudrove Ro Aca Mataitini said the chiefs of Cakaudrove and the multi racial society in Taveuni are looking forward to working hand in hand in combating crime in Taveuni.
Ro Mataitini said there will also be a talanoa session between the Prime Minister and the people of Cakaudrove this week before he departs for Labasa on Friday.
