All the four leaders of the Melanesian Spearhead Group have confirmed their attendance at a Special Retreat convened in Vanuatu next week.

NSC Director General, Rima Ravusiro told PACNEWS that Commodore Frank Bainimarama will attend the one-day retreat which is expected to be held on the 10th of July.

Ravusiro confirms there is no set agenda and it's a retreat of leaders without officials. He says they will sit down and discuss any issue they want to raise.

Vanuatu Prime Minister, Edward Natapei, as Chair of the MSG convened the urgent meeting to discuss among other things Fiji's expulsion from the Pacific Islands Forum and see what the MSG can do to try and open up dialogue with Fiji.

The retreat comes three weeks before the Pacific Islands Forum to be held in Cairns, Australia.
