Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will lead a team of government officials to the Asian Development Bank's annual meeting in Uzbekistan from the 1st of May.

They will have bilateral meeting with representatives from the International Monetary Fund and the Governors meeting where he will agree on issues of common interest to be discussed with management on the work of the ADB in the region.

The issues expected to be discussed include regional and inter-regional cooperation, vulnerability issues, natural disasters, structural reforms in view of the crisis, food security and ADB's response to climate change in the Pacific.
 
The delegation includes the Acting Permanent Secretary for Finance, John Prasad, Permanent Secretary for National Planning, Pita Wise, Reserve Bank of Fiji Governor Sada Reddy.

The meeting takes place from 1st 4th May 2010.
