Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama will address the nation tomorrow morning on the way forward for the public and all stakeholders when the Public Emergency Regulation will be lifted on Saturday.

Commodore Bainimarama in his New Year’s message said that the PER will be lifted on Saturday to make way for the constitution consultation which is expected to start next month.

The announcement to lift the PER has been widely welcomed by the international community including the United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, the Commonwealth, USA, United Kingdom, Japan and France.

Commodore Bainimarama’s national address is at 11am.
