Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has come out today and raised serious concern about some NZ media outlets spreading and reporting on rumours that he has passed away.
Speaking from China to our News Director Vijay Narayan, Commodore Bainimarama said he is aware of some NZ media outlets spreading the rumours about him.
The Prime Minister said it is clear what the NZ media outlets are trying to do, and he said it would take a lot to put him down.
But while giving the interview during his breakfast, Commodore Bainimarama joked that NZ needs to watch out as he is getting ready to play against the All Blacks next year.
Commodore Bainimarama has also confirmed that he is staying back in China for a few more days because he has some further meetings with some potential Chinese investors.
He said he will not be able to make it to Suva for Fiji's 2011 National Budget address at 11am Friday morning.
Commodore Bainimarama confirmed that the Acting Finance Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum is expected to deliver the budget address.
Commodore Bainimarama is expected to return to Fiji this Friday.
