Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama said he is ready to engage with the international community as long as they understand Fiji's plans like the Melanesian Spearhead Group leaders.
Bainimarama said suspensions will definitely not bring the answer as the Roadmap to Democracy is set for Fiji.
Papua New Guinea Prime Minister, Sir Michael Somare said he is convinced that some of Bainimarama's plans are good for Fiji.
Meanwhile the leaders of the Melanesian Spearhead Group have shown their support for the lifting of suspension of Fiji from the Pacific Islands Forum.
The Chairman of the group Vanuatu Prime Minister Edward Natapei said the leaders praised Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama's Strategic Framework for Change laid out in a recent address.
In Commodore Bainimarama's presentation, he said the government will concentrate on the economy for the next three years. He revealed that work on a new constitution which will see a non-race based electoral system, start in 2012.
Work on the new constitution is expected to be completed by September 2013 and election is scheduled to be held in September 2014.
