I hope that the church will be used for its rightful purpose and help uplift the spiritual life of the students.

These are the words of Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama while officially opening the new Nai Volasiga Chapel at Ratu Kadavu Levu School this morning which took 18 years to build.

Bainimarama said the school was started in 1948 with the aim of helping and strengthening the education of Fijians with leadership. He also applauded the old scholars for their hard work in seeing to the completion of the chapel.

Commodore Bainimarama added that the completion of the church signifies a new dawn at RKS.

Old scholars were present at the opening ceremony this morning as well as old scholars from Adi Cakobau School who were at the school to show their support.

Methodist Church President Reverend Ame Tugawe blessed the church this morning before its opening.
