The Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama today opened the new Korovou to Lodoni Road, one of Government's many development initiatives in trying to bridge the gap between people living in the rural areas to those living in the urban areas.
Commodore Bainimarama said that the opening of the new road will increase economic activity and improve living standards for the people of Tailevu.
Commodore Bainimarama added that traveling in rough terrain will be a thing of the past for the general public, the bus companies and school children.
The villages of Nananu, Burelevu, Sawakasa, Burerua, Matacula, Namena and the two prominent boys' schools, RKS and QVS will benefit from the new road.
