Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama is off to the United Arab Emirates this morning to attend an Arab League meeting in Abu Dhabi.

Commodore Bainimarama will be accompanied by the Attorney General and Minister for Justice Aiyaz Sayed Khaiyum in the meeting expected to be attended by Pacific Island leaders.  
 
Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office Colonel Pio Tikoduadua said the Prime Minister=s attendance at the UAE meeting follows an invitation from the Arab League and Commodore Bainimarama has decided to attend to see how Fiji can benefit from the meeting.

Tikoduadua said the meeting will discuss ways to boost trade and investment between the Arab states and Pacific Island countries.

Representatives of more than 30 Arab and Pacific countries will attend the meeting.
