Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama said he's held successful talks with the Director General of Abu Dhabi's Fund for Development, Mohammed Saif Al Suwaidi.
The meeting explored potential investment and developmental opportunities in Fiji.
Discussions were held on the sidelines of the Arab Pacific Countries' Foreign Ministers meeting, which is being hosted by the United Arab Emirates.
Al Suwaidi said the UAE wants to boost joint cooperation with Pacific Islands' countries, and has earmarked 50 million US dollars to fund projects and develop partnerships with Pacific countries.
The projects will be supervised by the ADFD.
