The Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama last night launched FASNOC's lottery ticket fund-raising drive for the Pacific games this year.

Fiji will participate in a total of 28 sports in New Caledonia this year and close to 500 athletes have already started preparations for the regional meet.

While addressing the Corporate sector at Westpac Suva branch last night, Commodore Bainimarama urged everyone to support FASNOC in their bid to send the strongest contingent ever to a Pacific game.

Bainimarama said close to $1.5 million is needed to send 500 athletes to New Caledonia.

Tickets are being sold at $2 with the main prize $25,000.
