Prime Minister Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has told sugar cane farmers in Ba during his visit to the West on Friday that he will make sure the sugar industry will remain viable while he is in office.
Commodore Bainimarama said his Government will continue to work with the farmers in trying to improve the sugar industry although they are facing a lot of difficulties.
Bainimarama believes the sugar industry is under a lot of challenge but it will not stop them from moving forward.
Commodore Bainimarama yesterday completed his tour of the West.
