Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama is expected to announce the composition of a new Constitution Commission later this month.

The announcement is expected by the end of this month.

Commodore Bainimarama will also provide details regarding the timeframe and methodology of the constitution consultation process.

The government said the recent flooding and continuous weather situation has created obvious logistical complications which will prevent people, in particular those affected by the weather, from participating in the process.

Commodore Bainimarama said he looks forward to the commencement of the process once Fijians have recovered from the recent natural disaster.

The government said it should be noted that it is still ahead of the Strategic Framework for Change in the lead up to the elections.

CODE Inc from Canada will carry out the electronic voter registration in Fiji.

They are expected to be in the country next month.
