The Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama was briefed on drug trafficking at the CID Headquarters in Toorak this morning.
Police Spokesperson, Fred Elbourne said Commodore Bainimarama was met by Police Commissioner Brigadier General Iowane Naivalurua and other senior officers at the Intelligence Bureau and the Drug Unit.
Elbourne said the Prime Minister was also briefed on the ground works and raids that are being done to ensure that drugs do not enter towns and cities during this festive season.
He said Commodore Bainimarama has shown his full support to the drug unit.
