The Prime Minister, Commodore Voreqe Bainimarama has been appointed as the new Patron of Tailevu Rugby Union.
This was confirmed after the officials met last night.
Commodore Bainimarama replaces outgoing Patron, Ratu Epenisa Cakobau.
Tailevu Rugby Union spokesperson, Jone Batiwale said a call was made to Commodore Bainimarama in London by the officials requesting him to take up the post, where he agreed.
