The Consumer Council of Fiji believes that some people in the country need to understand the role of the Prices and Incomes Board instead of calling it a deterrent to investors.
Chief Executive Officer Premila Kumar said that it is sad to know that the Fiji Chamber of Commerce wants the PIB to be abolished.
Kumar's comment comes after Fiji Chamber of Commerce President Swani Maharaj said during the Public and Private Sector Consultative Forum on the 2010 Budget in Lami yesterday that the Prices and Incomes Board is a deterrent to investors and should be abolished.
