There are major developments this hour as the Fijian Teachers Association, Public Employees Union and Viti Taukei Workers are expected to accept the 1 percent pay restoration.

The Public Employees Union is likely to call off their strike later today after successful talks with the Public Service Commission officials last Saturday.

PEU General Secretary, Pita Delana said they have accepted the 1% pay restoration and the rest to be paid after the revised budget in November.

Delana said the PSC has agreed that the retirement age of 60 be maintained together with the partnership agreement.
