The Attorney General said the Public Emergency Regulation (PER) imposed two years ago in the country won’t be lifted until local considerations have been addressed.
The PER was imposed in April 2009.
Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has told Radio NZ that the PER will obviously have to be lifted but not yet.
Sayed-Khaiyum said the PER will be lifted when the time is right.
