The interim government will lift the public emergency regulation next Saturday October 6th.

Military Spokesman Lt Colonel Mosese Tikoitoga confirmed to Village news that the military council made the decision to lift the regulation after consultations with interim Prime Minister Commodore Frank Bainimarama before he left for New York yesterday.

Colonel Tikoitoga has warned members of the public and political leaders that the public emergency regulation can be imposed again if security situation warrants.
