The Pacific Concerned Resource Centre is calling on the Interim Government to exercise caution when it comes to issues dealing with subjects close to them.

PCRC Director, Tupou Vere said recent comments the issue of the de-reserving of native land is being manipulated as a race card is grossly misleading.

Tupou adds that the indigenous communities in Fiji deserve far more sensitivity from leaders and from all sectors as part of the human rights.

She adds that a good guideline for future dealings in indigenous issues would be the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples seeing that Fiji is a member of the United Nations.
