In a report handed to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the Fiji Human Rights Commission said that the removal of Prime minister, Laisenia Qarase on December 5th did not violate his human rights and that by authorizing Qarase's removal, President Ratu Josefa Iloilo appears to have exercised his sovereign power under section 86 of the constitution.
